PLR Consulting serves as External Evaluator for CSULA’s NSF Award: Increasing Participation and Persistence in STEM by Incorporating Field-Based Experiences in an Urban Environment

The project seeks to eliminate field experience barriers by creating more accessible and equitable field experiences in introductory level courses at California State University, Los  Angeles (Cal State LA) and Mount San Antonio College (Mt. SAC). As such, the  project will investigate the ways in which participation of BIPOC students in field-based disciplines increases persistence and participation by developing a connection (social justice) to their local environment through field experiences.
