Women in STEM Panel Discussion Recap

In March, I had the honor and privilege of moderating a panel of extraordinary women in STEM as they discussed navigating the landscape, overcoming barriers, and the importance of celebrating oneself on the journey. The questions were thought provoking and the conversation was vibrant, engaging and focused on retaining women in STEM fields. The best part of the event however, was being able to see young women of color (high school) understand the importance of networking, mentorship, and sponsorship. Thanks to TheoMediaPro and Joshua "Rosh" Robinson for the media contact and photos! Special thanks to Dr. Christine Grant for the beautiful gifts! Thanks to IGI Global for the support of publishing "Overcoming Barriers of Women of Color in STEM Fields" (due Summer 2020) and to GAACS & Agnes Scott College for providing the platform to have this much needed conversation.

Below are pictures from the event and interviews with panelists and members of the audience. Check back regularly for updates on my upcoming book, Overcoming Barriers for Women of Color in STEM Fields: Emerging Research and Opportunities, set to arrive in June!
